- Internet marketers say 'Sorry for the spam!', apologize for their part
  in turning the internet into a cesspool; offer to send money to people
  they've pissed off.

- comp.os.windows.advocacy: "Windows, MAC, OS/2... what's the big deal?  
  It's just a metal box."

- Prominent comp.ai flakes decide their theories about intelligence are
  inane, announcing "Maybe we should go catch up on the last hundred years
  of psychology".  Says one, "You know, this ASCII diagram of how the mind
  works that I keep posting is really pretty silly."

- Microsoft's Bill Gates admits, "Yeah, OK, maybe some of our products
  do have bugs."

- On gnu.emacs, Richard Stallman publicly expresses doubt, and then, late
  in the day, changes his mind on something.

- talk.bizarre: "Usenet's been around a really long time.  It probably
  won't die anytime soon."
