ASSASSINATION RECORDS REVIEW BOARD TO CONDUCT HEARING
APRIL 2 IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
The Assassination Records Review Board will conduct a hearing in
Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, April 2, 1997. The hearing will begin at
1:00 p.m. and be conducted in the Archivist's Reception Room at the
National Archives and Records Administration.
The Review Board is scheduled to hear expert testimony on issues under The
President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992
(Public Law 102-526) related to the status and disposition of the original
film taken of the assassination by amateur photographer Abraham Zapruder.
The Assassination Records Review Board is an independent federal agency
responsible for the review and release of records related to the
assassination of President Kennedy.

They may classify the Zapruder film an assassination record and in the
public domain, thus ending the Zapruder family's control and copyright of
the film. This could affect copyright issues of many other films and
photographs. You'll want to be in D.C. for this one folks.
